Local Trusted Roofing Experts

Premier Production Services is a dedicated roof production team with more than 20 years of hands-on installation experience. We work with roofing contractors across the country, handling the physical build of the roof from tear-off to final nail, so your project is completed by crews who install roofs every single day and know exactly what a lasting installation requires.

Your contractor brought us in because building roofs well, quickly, and correctly is what we do full-time. Every crew is trained to the same standard, and every installation follows the same process. You get contractor-level trust with production-level expertise.

Before We Get To Your Roof

Installation day is the most visible part of your project, but there’s a short process that happens first to make sure everything is ready before our crew ever arrives.

  • Confirming Your Scope of Work: Once your contractor brings Premier Production Services onto your project, your PPs Project Manager will reach out to confirm the scope of work, along with your material and color selections.
  • Permits & Scheduling: If your project requires a permit, we take care of pulling it. From there, we start planning your build date around your roof’s requirements, your local permitting timeline, and weather.
  • Material Ordering & Delivery: Once everything is confirmed, we place your material order. We’ll let you know before materials are delivered to your property, so you’re not caught off guard when a truck shows up.
  • Confirming Your Build Date: With materials on site, we’ll reach out one more time to confirm your installation date before our crew arrives to begin the work described in “What Happens on Installation Day” below.

What Happens on Installation Day

Here’s a clear, step-by-step look at how we build your roof, from the moment our crew arrives to the final walkthrough.

1) Setup & Prep

Before any work begins, our crew protects your property. That means tarps over landscaping, plywood over sensitive surfaces like windows, decks, and pool covers, and magnetic nail sweeps positioned around the perimeter of your home. We treat every property the way we’d treat our own, and this setup phase is what makes the rest of the day possible without surprises.

2) Tear-Off

Next, the old roofing material is removed down to the decking. This is the loudest, most visible part of the day, but it’s also where we get our first real look at what’s underneath. Removing old layers completely, rather than roofing over them, lets us catch problems early and gives your new roof a clean, solid foundation to build on.

3) Deck Inspection & Repair

With the old roof gone, we inspect the wood decking for soft spots, rot, or water damage that wasn’t visible from the surface. Any damaged sections are replaced before installation continues. Even the best materials won’t perform well over a compromised deck, so this step is non-negotiable on every job we build.

4) Underlayment & Flashing

We install a new layer of underlayment, a water-resistant barrier between your decking and shingles that serves as your roof’s second line of defense against leaks. We’ll also install new flashing around chimneys, vents, skylights, and valleys, since these transition points are where most roof leaks start. Ventilation components are also checked and updated here.

5) Shingle Installation

This is where your new roof takes shape. Our crews install your chosen shingles to manufacturer specifications, working in careful, consistent rows across every plane of the roof. Every nail placement, overlap, and seam is done to spec, because precise installation is what your workmanship warranty is built on.

6) Finishing Details

With shingles installed, we add ridge caps along the peaks, finish any remaining flashing and trim work, and reinstall or replace pipe boots and vent covers. These smaller details are often where problems show up years down the road if they’re rushed, so we don’t rush them.

7) Cleanup

Once the roof is complete, we do a full site cleanup: tarps come down, debris is hauled away, and we run magnetic nail sweeps across your yard, driveway, and any nearby grass to catch stray nails. Most single-family roof installations are completed in one day, so you can expect your property to be back to normal before we leave.

8) Final Walk Through

We work directly with your insurance provider (if applicable) to ensure all documentation and proof of workmanship is received. A final invoice will given to you by your roofer once all aspects of your project have been completed, and payment is due upon receipt.

What to Expect & When We’ll Be in Touch

We know it can feel quiet between signing off on a project and seeing a crew show up. Here’s when you can expect to hear from us:

  2. Project Paperwork — You’ll receive a short packet with your scope of work and project details to review and sign.
  3. Material Delivery Notice — We’ll notify you before materials are dropped off at your property.
  4. Build Date Confirmation — Once your installation date is locked in, we’ll reach out to confirm it with you.
  5. Installation Day — Our crew arrives to complete your roof — see “What Happens on Installation Day” for the full walkthrough.
  6. Post-Installation Check-In — After the job is finished, we’ll follow up to walk through the work and make sure you’re satisfied.

FAQ

I received money from my insurance company but don’t know what it’s for — should I just deposit it?2026-09-08T16:15:31+00:00

Not without checking first. In most cases, that payment is meant to cover work completed by Premier Production Services, and depositing it without confirming can create payment mix-ups for both you and us. Contact us before depositing if you’re unsure.

The crew, or a subcontractor, damaged my property and I want it fixed. What should I do?2026-09-08T16:14:53+00:00

Contact your PPPS Project Manager. We’ll walk your property with you, document the concern, and agree on how it’ll be resolved. Note: some damage found after a new roof goes in (chipped paint, dented gutters, cracked driveway sections) existed beforehand but wasn’t noticed until the work was examined closely — we document conditions carefully before we start, and we ask for your patience while we sort out cause and resolution.

I still have a permit on my front door. Do I need to leave it there?2026-09-08T16:14:30+00:00

Yes — please leave it up until it’s been signed off by your city, county, or state inspector. Removing it early can cause your roof to fail inspection. Once you see a signature on the “inspection completed” line, you’re free to take it down for your records. If the inspector requires any corrections, let us know so we can schedule the fix and re-inspection.

Why is there a ladder at my house leading up to my roof?2026-09-08T16:14:10+00:00

We leave it there for your local code inspector. Roofing companies are required to provide a ladder for inspections. We’ll come back for it once we know the inspector has been out — usually the same day, occasionally a day or two later.

My roof is done. How long will it take to get my roof inspected?2026-09-08T16:13:44+00:00

Inspection timing depends on your city or county’s availability, not on us. During busy periods, it can take several weeks. We stay on top of requesting and following up on inspections for you.

When will my roof be built?2026-09-08T16:13:24+00:00

Your build date depends on weather, daylight hours, the complexity of your project, and material availability. We’ll notify you before your materials are delivered, and again once your installation date is confirmed — see “What to Expect & When We’ll Be in Touch” for the full timeline.

I have a question about my roofing materials — who should I talk to about that?2026-09-08T16:07:56+00:00

Your dedicated PPS Project Manager will be able to answer any questions.
